Nestled on a barrier island in the middle of five beach communities, Indian Harbour Beach is an affordable, safe, peaceful, and friendly family town. This well-kept secret place is on the east coast of central FL just an hour away from Orlando International Airport and minutes from Melbourne just over the bridge. Locals can walk to the beach or to the Banana River since the community is just two miles square. Gleason Park and its spring-fed lake is in the center of it all. Ocean Breeze Elementary School has been here since the town was developed. Generations of children have attended this school making the teachers’ part of each family. Since Satellite Beach and Indialantic are both within two miles, the older children attend school at either Hoover Jr. High or DeLaura Jr. High and then Satellite Beach High School. All of these beachfront schools are noted for their quality educations. Nearby in Indialantic, a private, blue-ribbon, age 3 through grade 8 school is part of a vibrant Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community.
