Cocoa Beach is Brevard’s only world-renowned beachside community established in 1925. It is home to the east coast surfing hall of fame and the king of professional surfing Kelley Slater. The town has been drawing all types of beachgoers since the mid 1960’s when NASA was booming and the television show “I dream of Jeannie” was produced here from 1965-1970. Cocoa beach is home to festivals and art shows throughout the year and you're literally surrounded by water with the Atlantic ocean and the rivers to the west. There is always something to do!
Atlantic Avenue and Orlando Avenue are the two main roads that pass through Cocoa Beach. Minuteman Causeway is where you'll find the schools, the golf course, the aquatic center, the tennis complex and all types of sports played here. Freedom 7 Elementary and Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School both are certified International Baccalaureate schools with a diploma program.
